Be Passionate!

Okay, I finally have the courage to post these pictures! I was invited by Carin, one of my best friends and an AMAZING photographer to do a photo shoot with her and two of her photog friends. Sweet Carin didn't tell them I was not a PROFESSIONAL so after I introduced myself they started asking me about my business in San Diego. I almost died right there. Most of you know I LOVE photography and have always had a passion for it. I finally got an amazing camera and computer and I have just sort of taught myself over this past year how to use it. What I have discovered is that there is a whole other part to photography and that is the creative editing aspect. My goal is to learn photoshop and refine my photography skills through actual classes. So anyway, these are the pictures, I was embarrassed to post them because the others are awesome (Angie, Jess and Carin, linked through Carins blog) but I decided that I am proud of my journey thus far. Last year at this time I had just received my camera and was scared to shoot on anything but Auto. I now almost always use Manual where I can set my own lighting. It was amazing to watch these ladies, I had so much fun (thanks Carin, Jess and Angie)! These beautiful girls also made it easy to take great pictures, they were naturals! I have also learned that photography does not have to be competitive. Two of my biggest supporters and best friends are photographers who constantly encourage me, I admire the styles of Carin and Julie but can also experiment with my own style. I have a long way to go but it feels good to finally just go for it and BE PASSIONATE! What are you passionate about?
