summer rain storm

Last weekend I asked E to take Ashton to the store with him so I could get a bit of editing done. At the last minute the kids decided they wanted to go so he ended up with all three of them. Twenty minutes later the skies opened up to the biggest thunderstorm I've ever seen. The whole sky lit up, the house shook with the thunder and than the power went out. It is no secret that I love rain so I grabbed my camera and tried to capture some of the madness.

After a while E called me and told me he was in the middle of his worst nightmare "Quarantined at the back of Walmart with three kids". I felt bad, kind of... but enjoyed a little bit of the peace and rain. They got home just in time for the rainbow.

Halle snuck in front of me while I was taking a picture of the window. And yes, she did go to Walmart in her fairy costume.

Jen, I love your curtains so much! Are they Pottery Barn? If you remember where you got them, let me know. They just look so homey and elegant.

ps
that sucks about the truck! That kind of thing happens to Brandon too.

Great photos Jen! I think you're starting to see things differently. Did you enjoy the photo workshop you went to in Utah?
