Ok, I have to admit, I have had my decorations (tree and all) up since the week after Halloween. We are going "home for the holidays" for the whole month of December and as much as I love helping my mom decorate and enjoying my friends and families homes in Utah there is just something to be said for decorating your own house in pure holiday coziness. I want to enjoy my decorations for as long as possible, even if it means my neighbors think I am crazy (my husband already knows I am crazy)! Maybe it is because I was born in the month of December but I have always absolutely loved Christmas, not just Dec 25, the whole season. I used to make my mom put up the tree and decorations and BEG my dad to put up the lights in time for my birthday. It is truly a magical time of the year, I love the lights, the music, the smells, the baking, the shopping and the feeling in my heart as I share traditions with the people I love the most. This morning Taylor found my X-mas CD's and we had a dance party in the front room to "Run Run Rudolph" and " Jingle Bells" in santa hats. I think my kids have inherited my Christmas obsession!
This is Christmas in San Diego, no snow- just flowers
Someday I will have a fireplace.
