San Diego Wildfires 2007

San Diego is on fire to the North, South and East of us, eight different fires in all. Thank goodness we are safe and sound and in our home. Unlike 500,000 others who are evacuated and in shelters in stadiums and schools across San Diego. All schools have been closed, we are told to not go outside, don't breath the air, don't go on roads, life has pretty much...halted. It is unusually quiet and creepy. E has been helping set up evacuation centers and putting together supply kits. Today they drove families into their neighborhoods for a brief look to see if their homes were still standing. I have been home with the kids, all of us stir crazy, cleaning in case we need to house evacuees. I found these pictures online, most from the San Diego Tribune. Thank you for your calls and concern.
