☆ taylor

My mom, always the queen of fairness, let it be known that I haven't been posting pictures of Taylor lately. I explained to her that Taylor has been going through a little attitude change since starting school. He has absolutely no interest in smiling or cooperating with me when I take his picture. He refers to me as a "picture-head". I don't really blame him, you see I love taking pictures, I always have. I guess you can say I am an aspiring photographer. I was always the girl with the camera. I truely have a passion for taking pictures, of anything or anyone. I think I got this from my dad. He takes thousands of pictures of the desert, thousands. I've always teased him for this because they all look the same to us but I've just realized I do that also with my kids (not the desert). I was recently asked why I have so many photographer friends. I answered that I think you flock to people who have the same interests as you. I can go through Carins pictures and watch her make magic on her computer all day. Julie and I have spent hours talking about aperture and shutter speed. Both of these ladies have been very supportive and helpful to me.

Last fall my camera was stolen. My husband ,who is never one to encourage me to spend money, suggested that maybe it was time to invest in a nice SLR camera. He told me that he really thought that I had an eye for photography and that I should do something that I love. Well for those of you who know me well you know that I had a new Nikon D80 within a week. It is my absolute prized possesion. I have spent the last year figuring it out (and still am). To me the computer work and the business aspect is the scary part, one that I am not ready to conquer yet. So someday maybe... but for now I am just doing what I love...taking pictures! I will be posting tons of my "amatuer photography" not because I think I am amazing but because I just want to share them with you.

So, back to Taylor! I brought his chair outside and made him sit in it to experiment with natural light (Carin are you proud?) How did I get these pictures? BRIBERY!!!!
